The Met Gala recently took place on May 2nd 2022. The theme was ‘Gilded Glamour’ And let me say that I am presently surprised at all the joyus looks that appeared. Their were quite a few that had our jaws dropped. And quite a few that had me pondering.

The Met Gala is always the place for the expected unexpected. Debuts for actors, socialites and singers. The Met Gala is for all.

When at the Met Gala it is almost impossible to stand out. From 20 foot trains to being blinged all the way out, making a outline for yourself in the fashion world is going to take more than a a simple dress and some sneakers. Expect critics to be harsh, I mean this isn’t just some regular old runaway show.

‘Burberry’ definitely made the cut this Met Gala. A fashion brand I adored seeing was ‘Miu Miu’ Maude Apatow in the black And sequined gown, really made an impression. Especially for being Maude’s Met Gala debut.

The Jenners and Kardashians are no stranger to loving Marilyn Monroe. Kim Kardashian wore the exact dress Marilyn Monroe wore when Marilyn performed in 1962 to serenade John F. Kennedy for his birthday. Kim Kardashian’s look was by far the most memorable. Every year Kim keeps raising the bar, higher and higher. You’d think well, nothing can top last years Met Gala look but rest assured Kim came through expectedly and has and will continue to raise the bar.
